Translation guidelines

If you would like to translate a page, first please let the head admin(s) know on his/her talk pages. Alternately, you can contact Gamepedia Staff.

The steps for translating on most wikis are the following:

  1. Create a new page with "/languagecode" added to the end of the pagename of the page you wish to translate. ie. If you want to translate the page "loot" to Spanish, you would create page "loot/es". For a list of Language codes, please see: http://www.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/php/code_list.php
  2. Translate the text of the page and at the bottom of the page, add the page to the category: [[Category:LANGUAGECODE translation]]. ie. Translating a page to Spanish would have [[Category:ES translation]] added to the bottom of the edit. This will put all translated pages into a single category. We expect translators to be proficient speakers of the target language. Using internet translation sites is discouraged.
  3. Once the main page has been translated, along with a handful of additional pages, AND there is a person in place willing to be the head admin of that translated wiki and moderate it, a sub-domain will be set up for that translation. ie. A translated Spanish wiki would be at gamename-es.gamepedia.com.

We expect this head admin to keep an eye on the wiki to prevent vandals, etc.

Note: conventions across wikis may differ. If on a wiki with an established translation system, ask administrators or other staff if anything varies.

Wenn Sie einen Artikel übersetzen möchten, informieren Sie bitte vorher die Administratoren auf ihrer Diskussions-Seite. Alternativ können sie den Gamepedia Staff (englisch) kontaktieren.

Bitte beachten Sie folgende Schritte beim Übersetzen:

  1. Erstellen Sie eine neue Seite und fügen Sie an das Ende des Titels den "/languagecode" an. z.B.: Möchten sie die Seite "loot" auf Deutsch übersetzen, erstellen Sie die Seite "loot/de". Für eine Liste mit Kennungen besuchen Sie bitte: http://www.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/php/code_list.php
  2. Am Ende der Seite fügen Sie die erstellte Seite bitte der entsprechenden Kategorie zu; [[Category:LANGUAGECODE translation]]. Durch diesen Schritt werden alle übersetzten Seiten in dieselbe Kategorie verschoben. z.B.: Eine Übersetzung ins Deutsche, würde so [[Category:DE translation]] enden.
  3. Wenn die Hauptseite und alle mit ihr verlinkten Seiten übersetzt sind, wird eine Unter-Domain für diese Übersetzung erstellt. Die übersetzenden Benutzer würden daraufhin Adminrechte in diesem Wiki erhalten. z.B.: Ein in das Deutsche übersetztes Wiki würde unter Spielname-de.gamepedia.com erreichbar sein.

Wir hoffen ebenfalls, dass Sie ein Auge auf das Wiki haben um Vandalismus und ähnliches zu vermeiden.

Si quieres traducir una página, primero debes hacérselo saber a los administradores jefes de sus páginas. Otra opción es contactar con el personal de Gamepedia.

Los pasos para empezar a traducir son los siguientes:

  1. Crear una nueva página con "/CódigoIdioma" (en el caso de español sería "/es") añadido al final del nombre de la página que quieras traducir. Por ejemplo, si quieres traducir la página "Loot" al español, deberías crear la página "Loot/es". Puedes ver una lista de todos los códigos de idioma aquí: http://www.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/php/code_list.php
  2. En la parte inferior de la página de edición, añade la categoría: [[Category:CÓDIGOIDIOMA translation]]. Por ejemplo, la traducción de una página a español sería [[Category:ES translation]] al final de la edición. Esto agrupará todas las páginas traducidas en una sola categoría.
  3. Si se logra traducir la página principal y todas las páginas enlazadas a ella, se establecerá un subdominio para la traducción. Por ejemplo, un wiki traducido al español sería NombreDelJuego-es.gamepedia.com. Y a quienes hicieron la traducción se les dará acceso de administrador en dicho subdominio.

También esperamos que se mantenga una vigilancia del subdominio para evitar vandalismos, etc.

Si vous désirez traduire une page, commencez par aviser l'administrateur/trice sur sa page de discussion. Autrement, vous pouvez communiquer avec le personnel de Gamepedia.

Les étapes sont les suivantes:

  1. Créez une nouvelle page avec "/code_de_langue" ajouté à la fin du titre de la page que vous désirez traduire. Par exemple, si vous voulez traduire la page "loot" vers le français, créez une nouvelle page avec le titre "loot/fr".   2. En bas de la page, ajoutez la catégorie: [[Category:CODEDELANGUE translation]]. Exemple: Une page traduite vers le français aurait [[Category:FR translation]] ajouté en bas de la page. Ceci gardera toutes les pages traduites dans une seule catégorie.
  3. Si la page d'accueil et toutes les pages avec des liens sur cette page sont traduites, un sous-domaine sera créer pour cette traduction. C'est-à-dire, un wiki traduit vers le français paraîtrait à nomdujeu-fr.gamepedia.com. Et ceux qui ont fait la traduction deviendraient les administrateurs du nouveau sous-domaine.

Se vuoi tradurre una pagina, prima di tutto fallo sapere agli amministratori sulle loro pagine di discussione. In alternativa, puoi contattare lo Staff Gamepedia.

I passi per tradurre la maggior parte delle wiki sono i seguenti:

  1. Crea una nuova pagina con "/codicelingua" aggiunto alla fine del nome della pagina che vuoi tradurre. Ad esempio, se vuoi tradurre la pagina "loot" in Italiano, devi creare la pagina "loot/it". Per una lista dei codici delle lingue, guarda: http://www.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/php/code_list.php
  2. Alla fine della modifica della pagina, aggiungi la pagina alla categoria: [[Category:CODICELINGUA translation]]. Ad esempio, tradurre una pagina in Italiano dovrà avere [[Category:IT translation]] aggiunto alla fine della modifica. Questo inserirà tutte le pagine tradotte in una singola categoria.
  3. Dopo che la pagina principale è stata tradotta, l'amministratore capo deciderà se creare un sottodominio o se sono necessarie più pagine tradotte.
  4. Se il capo della wiki decide che le pagine tradotte sono sufficienti E c'è una persona che vuole il ruolo di amministratore capo di questa wiki tradotta e la vuole moderare, verrà creato un sottodominio per questa traduzione. Ad esempio, una wiki tradotta in italiano sarà disponibile all'indirizzo nomegioco-it.gamepedia.com.

Ci aspettiamo che l'amministratore capo tenga un occhio sulla wiki per prevenire vandalismi, ecc.

Jeśli chcesz przetłumaczyć stronę, najpierw skontaktuj się z głównym administratorem/administratorami na jego stronie dyskusji. Możesz też skontaktować się z personelem Gamepedii. Jeśli potrzebny jest kontakt w języku polskim, osobą, do której należy pisać jest Tagaziel.

Aby przetłumaczyć stronę, należy podjąć następujące kroki:

  1. Utwórz stronę dodając "/kodjęzykowy" na koniec nazwy strony, którą chcesz przetłumaczyć. Np. jeśli chcesz przetłumaczyć stronę "loot" na język polski, utwórz stronę "loot/pl". Listę kodów językowych znajdziesz tu: http://www.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/php/code_list.php
  2. Na dole strony, którą edytujesz dodaj kategorię strony: [[Category:KODJĘZYKOWY translation]]. Np. jeśli tłumaczysz na polski, na samym końcu artykułu dodaj [[Category:PL translation]]. Wtedy wszystkie przetłumaczone strony będą należeć do tej kategorii.
  3. Jeśli strona główna i wszystkie strony zalinkowane z głównej strony zostaną przetłumaczone, założona zostanie poddomena dla danego języka. Np. wiki w języku polskim będzie miała adres nazwagry-pl.gamepedia.com. Autorzy tłumaczenia otrzymają uprawnienia administratorów na wiki w tej poddomenie.

Mamy również nadzieję, że będziecie mieli wiki na oku, aby zapobiegać wandalizmom itp.

Если вы хотите перевести страницу, для начала свяжитесь с главными администраторами на их страницах обсуждения, либо свяжитесь с администрацией Геймпедии.

При работе руководствуйтесь следующими пунктами:

  1. Создайте новую страницу с добавлением "/КодЯзыка" в конец существующей страницы. Например, если вы хотите перевести страницу "loot" на русский язык, то нужно создать страницу "loot/ru". Полный список языковых кодов можно найти по адресу http://www.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/php/code_list.php
  2. Внизу страницы добавьте категорию [[Category:КодЯзыка translation]]. Для русского языка строчка будет выглядеть так: [[Category:RU translation]]. Таким образом, все переведённые страницы попадут в одну категорию.
  3. После того, как будет переведена заглавная страница, главный администратор должен решить, стоит ли выделить собственный поддомен сайту, или же требуется дополнительный перевод других страниц.
  4. Если администратор посчитает, что переведённого материала достаточно И есть человек, который будет отвечать за вновь создаваемую вики и управлять ею, то сайту выделяется языковой поддомен. Например, русскоязычный раздел вики будет иметь адрес gamename-ru.gamepedia.com.

Мы надеемся, что главный администратор будет следить за вики, предотвращать вандализм и т.п.

Se você deseja traduzir uma página, antes de tudo, deixe um dos administradores ciente da sua intenção através da página de conversa dos mesmos. De moto alternativo, você pode contatar a Gamepedia Staff.

Os passos para traduzir uma página são, na maioria dos casos, os mesmos:

  1. Crie uma nova página com "/códigodalíngua" adicionado ao fim do nome da página que você deseja criar. Exemplo: Se você deseja traduzir a página "Brasil" para Português, você deverá criar uma página com o nome "Brasil/pt". Para ver a lista com todos os códigos de linguagens, acesse: http://www.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/php/code_list.php
  1. Traduza toda a página corretamente, e, ao final do código da página, adicione-a a categoria correta: [[Category:CÓDIGODALÍNGUA Tradução]]. Exemplo: Uma página traduzida para o português deverá estar com [[Category:PT Tradução]] adicionado ao final do código da página. Isso irá fazer com que todas as páginas traduzidas sejam organizadas em uma única categoria. Nós esperamos que os tradutores estejam realmente empenhados em fazer as traduções. Usar tradutores online não tratá um resultado satisfatório.
  1. Após a página inicial ser traduzida, um administrador irá criar um sub-domínio para o Wiki em questão, logo, todo o conteúdo traduzido estará disponível neste novo domínio. Uma página traduzida ao português ficará como nomedojogo-pt.gamepedia.com.

Esperamos que o administrador esteja pronto para lidar com vândalos e apto a corrigir tudo!
